About Me

My name is Andy, I’m 26 and from the UK. Most of the time I’m sat (like a little geek) in front of my computer playing poker and running PokerStylz.

After leaving college and getting stuck in a dead end job I decided it was time to focus all my effort on what I love doing.

I ran a couple of crappy poker websites for a while before I decided to make PokerStylz and share all of my poker knowledge to help people develop and improve their poker game.

Other than playing Poker I enjoy designing websites, photography and keeping fit.

Now all the little details are out of the way we can get to the poker side of things.

My Poker Life Story

I first started playing poker when I was 21 and quickly realised I would be playing poker for a long time to come. The first time I ever played poker for real money I deposited $30 at Pokerstars and had my poker hand chart on my desk next to me.

I thought I was the king of poker as I quickly got my $30 up to $80 playing at $10NL! I soon learned I wasn’t the hot shot that I first thought I was and I quickly lost it all. This happened 2 or 3 more times which is when I realised that maybe I should put some effort into improving my skills as a poker player.

I read book after book, watched training videos, read articles online and discussed strategy in poker forums.

Putting all my newly acquired skills together with discipline and good bankroll management meant that I was now a marginal winning player at $25NL. From their I improved on my skills further and after 4 months of hard work I was up to $200NL and flying. I now play regularly on Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker at $400NL and know more about online poker than I ever thought I would.

I wanted to share what I had learned and teach people getting in to poker how to become consistent winners. Hopefully PokerStylz will achieve this and continue to grow over the coming years.

Like I said above PokerStylz was created so I could share my poker experiences and knowledge with both experienced poker players and beginners.

Why is PokerStylz different from any other poker site?

I have over 5 years experience playing online poker and now regularly play at $400NL.

I’ve played a lot of poker online and have spent a significant amount of time playing at different online poker rooms.

All the advice and articles on this site are unique and give a totally honest point of view. Theres no shameless promoting going on here!

This site is run by me and not a big company who is just after your money. But if you want to give me your money I won’t try and stop you!
